Cheers to many more adventures in Copperland in the years to come!

UPDATE, one day later.  The picture above was from the morning of Copper's birthday, when she got a delicious birthday bone to enjoy for the whole day.  [editor's note, she also decided she needed to eat one of my favorite pairs of shoes but I tried to overlook that on her birthday.]  SGM also came home from work with another birthday gift for Copper, which she immediately loved.  Loved so much in fact, that within 5 minutes it looked like this:

(that top part looked just like the bottom part until she got her stinking paws on it).

But then this morning, bliss.  She acted like a real grown-up:  ate her breakfast calmly and without having to be watched over (she had gone on a breakfast hunger strike earlier this week, only scarfing down her dinner and leaving her breakfast untouched), and lounging on the deck, watching the birds as we got ready for work (instead of eating our clothes, drinking the toilet water, barking at the air, etc.).  Cross your fingers (although I am doubtful) that the tables have turned for the better in Copperland!
